Likely Stories

Likely Stories is a biennial SOMAS fundraiser featuring an evening of storytelling inspired by Isaiah Sheffer’s Selected Shorts at Symphony Space. The written word comes alive when read by great performers. 

Readers have included Tony Award winners Christine Ebersole, Norbert Leo Butz and Michele Pauk, Tony nominee Zach Grenier, Emmy winner Andre Braugher and Saturday Night Live writer Alan Zweibel.

2023 Likely Stories

Our 2023 event featured Messeret Stroman Wheeler, Zach Grenier and Emily Zacharias with live music from Bill Tally, Ben Williams and Ahmondylla Best.

2021 Likely Stories

Our 2021 event featured Manu Narayan, Erin Maguire, Emily Zacharias, Sean McLaughlin and Diane Davis. The musicians were Rich Eisenstein, Greg Bufford and Bruno Lee
